Living Out the Influence of Jesus
New York Christian Mission Church was previously known as The Church of the United Brethren in Christ of New York (UB). UB was established by the founding pastor Reverend Au Yeung in October 1985. Rev. Au Yeung moved to New York in the ‘80s after he retired from serving as director in the Church of the United Brethren in Christ of Hong Kong (UB Hong Kong). After retiring, God gave him a vision to serve the Chinese community in New York. The church first started gathering at the home of Rev. Au Yeung and later moved to Chinatown, Manhattan, in 1986.
In 2006, the church became an independent church and renamed as New York Christian Mission Church. Then in September 2016 the Church of the Living Lord merged with New York Christian Mission Church as one big family empowering us to continuing to emphasize the importance of following Jesus’ Great Commission. The church serves the Chinese community through different types of ministries such as small group gatherings, fellowships and the music ministry. New York Christian Mission Church also supports missionary trips to Cambodia, Thailand, Panama, Peru, Sichuan, India and continues to look into the needs of the Chinese community and support as needed.
